Circuits inside Machu Picchu 

Starting June 1, 2024, Machu Picchu has implemented new visitor circuits, featuring three main routes with specific differences to distribute visitors across various areas, making a total of ten visit routes. These changes aim to enhance the visitor experience and preserve the integrity of the archaeological site.

    IMPORTANT

    • Machu Picchu has implemented new visitor circuits, with three main routes with specific differences to distribute passengers in various areas. These changes are intended to improve the visitor experience and preserve the integrity of the archaeological site. The circuit with route 2 will be given as priority and if it is not available, the options of taking circuit 3B or circuit 1B will be informed so that you can confirm your decision before the tickets are issued.
    • All traveler passport details are mandatory for the Machu Picchu Day Trip: Full name, Passport number, date of birth and nationality, otherwise the tour is not confirmed. VIPAC needs these information to issue the entrance fee.
    • Machu Picchu Admission ticket is not refundable, don´t accept ammends or date rescheduling.
    • Departure train times are depending of service and station that you depart from. Our staff will be confirmed all tour details on time.
    • Due to high demand and limited entrances to the citadel, VIPAC will issue your admission ticket on trails 2 as a priority. If they are not available, trail 3 will be provided, after prior coordination with the passenger before issuance. 
    • Travelers must arrive in Cusco at least one day before, VIPAC suggests to arrive with 2 days to manage some flight cancellation or delay.
    • This is shared basis tour, our team will contact you in Cusco to board your train and VIPAC guide will meet you at Machu Picchu town. 
    • There could be a waiting time of up to 40 minutes at Machu Picchu town, depending on your shift hour entrance. 
    • One day before we will contact you to send you the pick-up time and other details of the excursion.     • Some hotels or lodgings are in areas where the access by vehicle is not permitted. Send hotel details in order to arrange your pickup and drop-off in a nearby place if necessary.
